New studio works to bring hip-hop back to downtown Toronto while celebrating its history

Aaron Aquino-Annobil (@aaronxaquino) grew up in Rexdale where he first started hip-hop dancing. This year, with his wife and co-owner Nicole Rosove (@nicolerosove), he opened Run the Flex (@runtheflex), a studio in Rosedale. So from Rexdale to Rosedale, they want to make hip-hop dancing accessible to more Torontonians. 🕺🏿

In partnership with @citynewsto, #TheGreenLineTO community producers Mahdis Habibinia (@mahdishabibinia) and Julia Lawrence (@julialaw002) spoke to the Run The Flex team who told us why learning the history and culture behind the dance moves is just as important as learning the moves themselves.
