Grab your ugg boots, your leg warmers, a Pinterest-board inspired fit and a pumpkin spice latte…because it’s autumn.
If you know anything about me, it’s that I love this season. Before Mariah Carey defrosts for Christmas, I’m busting out all my fall decor, changing my sheets to a chocolate brown colour and wearing exclusively trench coats.
I walked around and scrolled through social media to find some fall-esque photo spots for you and here’s what I’ve got.
401 Richmond St. W. courtyard
If you’re looking for a calm little place to take your fall flicks, you can head on over to 401 Richmond St. W.’s courtyard. Grab a coffee from Dark Horse Espresso Bar, and then walk across the hallway to get access to the courtyard.
This space also houses tons of fun things to see from gift shops to art installations.
Book Bar
Nothing says autumn like books, Gilmore Girls and a fireplace. If you’re in the mood to combine a fun drink with rows of literature, check out this spot at 600 Markham St.
It has espresso, other fun coffees, seasonal desserts, alcoholic beverages and tons of seating. I even came across a few book clubs happening on the second floor.
Plus, when you get hungry, you can walk across the street and grab a slice of pizza at Badiali’s.
Emmanuel College
The really fun thing about the University of Toronto is you don’t need a card to access most of its buildings. This spot is found at 75 Queen’s Park Cres. E.
Back when I was doing my undergrad, I used to frequent Emmanuel College library like it was my second home. But even after graduation, I can still access it and you can too.
Walk through the decades of history on the wall, explore all the nooks and crannies of the building and then, head on over to the romantic library for a few pics. I have some pretty iconic photos here that my friends took of me a couple years back.
Don’t think these places are top tier? Shoot me an email at aia@thegreenline.to and give me some recommendations. I’m not confident in many things, but I sure am when it comes to all things fall. Tooting my own horn here, my fall fits go viral on socials and Pinterest, and my whole room is committed to the bit.
Until next time, see ya.
