Calling all theatre nerds

If you’ve been spotting crows out and about this month, don’t chalk it up to spooky season — it may just be a sign that Crow’s Theatre is calling your name. Encourage young environmentalists

National charity, The Starfish, is looking for support in managing one of their programs helping Canadian youth turn environmental concern into action. The Youth Environmental Leaders Learning Lab is a five-session online program that brings together youths aged 18 to 30 across the country to strengthen their leadership skills and advance their careers in environmentalism. Originally, the program invited 25 participants per year but is now looking to expand it to nearly 3,000 participants, which is where their specialist role comes in. As a specialist for this program, you’ll help manage the learning management system, track program progress, serve as a primary contact for participants and more. You’ll work remotely 35 hours a week and be paid $23.28 per hour, with paid time off and a provided laptop (or $60 reimbursement if you use your own). This is a contract position from December 2026 to March 2028 and also includes $1200 set aside for professional development. The deadline to apply for this role is Oct. 21 and offers applicants the option to send in an audio or video recording instead of a cover letter, depending on your strengths.

Now, if you’re a current post-secondary student under 30 years old looking to get involved with The Starfish, they have three remote roles in marketing, administration and event management. No matter what your expertise is, if you’re even mildly intrigued and match the requirements, make sure to apply before their Oct. 21 deadline.
