It’s undeniable that your grocery bill is growing higher and higher. Here are three ways to keep an eye on where to get a good deal.

Grocery Tracker

GroceryTracker.ca: If you want to watch price fluctuations at big-brand stores or get notified about sales, then this site by Nose Creek Web Design is your best bet. Look up your item of choice, pick a store and location and find the current price and a chart of its fluctuation. It’s easy to use, but offers better capabilities like store comparisons if you create a free account.

Flipp

Flipp: Instead of circling deals in the flyers you get weekly, Flipp is an app meant to replace that function. Based on your location, flip through flyers digitally, circle ones you’re interested in and keep an eye out for deals on items on your grocery list. This app isn’t foolproof, as it doesn’t include smaller stores and some locations or chains have slipped through the cracks. But it’s a pretty effective tool, whether you’re an Apple or Android user and it makes planning your grocery route easier.

Grocery Pulse

Grocery Pulse: This is more of a bigger-picture resource, but if you’re looking for which store will save you at large, this is the website for you. It looks at fifty grocery staples — including items like dairy, frozen meals, produce and more — and tallies up the average basket cost compared to all the grocery giants in the city. Depending on the store you frequent most, you’ll be shown how much money you’re saving (or not) by going there instead of the cheapest option.
