Add this tea spot to your downtown recs

Looking for a haven to bring all the tea snobs in your life? Then ICHA TEA is the perfect spot to hit.

One thing about me is that I don’t play about where I get my tea.

I’m not one to stick to the same drink. I am always trying different fruity, iced teas at various locations and judging who deserves a spot on my coveted “Toronto Tea Tastemakers” list.

One undeniable addition is the wonderful Icha Tea, which has yet to disappoint me.

Whether I just want a soothing cup of oolong or the perfect iced strawberry matcha, Icha Tea has got it all.

As a coffee hater who solely gets her liquid fuel through tea, I am quite particular about where I get my caffeine fix, and Icha Tea has yet to disappoint in that factor. Whether it’s a matcha before our Community Hang event last month, or a banana hojicha latte to keep me awake during a hairstyle appointment, Icha Tea is That Girl™.

A lot of my favourite tea places have come and gone (RIP XOXO Tea and Tsaa Tea Shop), but thankfully, Icha Tea has my back and is perfect for those downtown in need of some classic teas, as well as decadent mugs of milk teas topped with their signature cheese foam.

If you’re looking for a place to study or catch up with a friend after thrifting in Kensington Market, then head out to their Spadina Avenue location, where their tea bar lies, with an expanded menu where you can enjoy a variety of traditional Chinese teas, as well as their regular menu.

Their Queen Street location is perfect for getting a quick fix while shopping or taking a walk around Trinity Bellwoods Park.

And if you’re an Icha Tea lover based in North York, then you’re in luck. They’ve recently announced a third location on the way by Yonge and Sheppard.

Every cup is worth the price, so make sure to visit when you can for your next impeccably made tea, served hot or cold.
