The elections are over, polls are closed, but Toronto is still in the civic politics mood.
This election season was intense, exhausting and absolutely crazy. Come election day, we really had no idea who was going to win the mayoral seat.
The election race is over, and you know what that means. Public meetings are going to be happening more regularly at City Hall again. Your re-elected and newly elected city councillors will be stepping into their new roles on Nov. 15, 2026, so expect all the committee meetings and heated chats to return.
Until then, you can check out these two cool meetings happening in Toronto:
- On Nov. 14, the City of Toronto is hosting its annual Toronto Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy (TSNS) Summit from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Metro Hall. The summit lets community members and leaders participate in workshops and provide feedback on the TSNS, which is an action plan for building partnerships that can make Toronto’s neighbourhoods thrive. The summit is free, but the registration deadline is Oct. 30. The TSNS is an action plan for building partnerships in Toronto’s neighbourhoods.
- On Nov. 26, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is hosting its monthly Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT) meeting. The meeting is from 1 to 3:30 p.m., and you can just drop-in to the seventh floor of TTC’s head office at 1900 Yonge St. You can also attend online.
Do you have a public meeting happening in your neighbourhood you want us to know about? Or maybe there’s something cool and civic-related going on in your ward that we should attend? Let me know at aia@thegreenline.to or @tglhelps on Instagram.
