The job roundup! You loved it the first time, so we’re back with some more just for you!

Whether you’re a home cook wanting to level up or a savvy content-making creative, there’s something for everyone in this week’s job roundup.

It’s hard finding jobs out in the city, let alone interesting ones, so here begins The Green Line‘s weekly job board. Every Friday, I’ll be sharing interesting job openings that are transparent about their pay, with the TLDR on the role. And if you’re like me, even the ones you never thought twice about might be intriguing enough to apply to anyway.

Enough of my spiel; here are this week’s opportunities.

Tech for wildlife

Passionate about the environment and know your way around CRMs and website management? Look no further than Ontario Nature, which is looking for a full-time communications technician. Help the charity advocate and protect wild spaces and species across the province by offering promotional, technological and publication support. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid role that pays between $49,000 – $60,000 yearly. The role includes a comprehensive health plan, RRSP program and paid sick or personal leave days. You’ll also get some membership perks from the Centre for Social Innovation, which serves as Ontario Nature’s workspace. The deadline for this role is Sept. 8, so apply ASAP!

Fostering local live art

Always dreamed of helping out the Tranzac? You now have the chance to join the non-profit arts organization as a rentals coordinator, making booking a breeze for all those involved. Benefits were not listed, but this role is part-time and hybrid, with at least one day spent at their Annex location and pay starts at $25/hour. All applications will be looked over; no AI or ATS involved, so make sure your resume and cover letter best represent what you bring to the table and are in by Sept. 14.

Tea brewing on the go

Love tea and being on the road? Then Apocalatte might be the match for you. If you need some part-time work and want to join a queer-owned business at its start, then this might be the gig for you. The role would start by working on Thursdays at the Underpass Farmers’ Market, with more frequent hours as the business grows, at $20/hour. Sounds like a fit for you? Send over your resume and any questions you may have to the team.

Uplift feminist leaders

Help Fora, a charity helping feminist leaders attain their career goals, with its design and social media goals. The charity is looking for a full-time content coordinator to improve their marketing and communications game while keeping Fora’s core values. This is a full-time, remote job that will be compensated at $50,000 yearly, plus an additional stipend to cover internet and telephone costs. Learn more about the role here. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, so don’t wait up!

Get into the trades

Looking to pivot careers while getting trained and paid full-time to do so? It’s your lucky day! For those looking to get into the tree-chopping game, The Career Foundation is hosting a 12-week program to learn what it takes to be an arborist. Make sure to apply to the Toronto cohort and attend an info session to see if you’re a good fit. If you’re more interested in the culinary or construction game, the Toronto District School Board’s Youth in Trades program offers 13-week programs for both tracks. If you’re 15 to 30 years old looking for full-time work, fill out their inquiry sheet to get details on how to apply.
