That’s why when TikTok user ris_337 asked us if we knew of any third spaces in Midtown Toronto, we answered!
Here are three suggestions from The Green Line that might fit the bill.
Krave Coffee: Are you a coffee fiend in need of a cozy, affordable place to meet with friends or a solo study sesh? Then check out Krave Coffee, at 781 St Clair Ave W St., where the café offers an assortment of skillfully brewed coffee, as well as a curated selection of teas and baked goods. It’s a beautifully designed café with exposed bricks, quirky decorations (half of a canoe serves as a shelf) and a handful of long tables for larger groups. And it’s finally warming up, so you can enjoy their outdoor patio.
Function Bar: For all the live music lovers and craft beer aficionados comes Function Bar. Located at 2291 Yonge St., a block away from Line 1 Eglinton Station, the bar/restaurant is perfect for those looking for a laid-back night with a solid lineup of entertainers and even greater food. Whether you’re looking to enjoy some Latin funk or join an open mic, make sure to reserve your seat or snag a ticket and enjoy all that Function Bar has to offer.
Art Starts: Looking for some all-ages arts fun? Then Art Starts, a charitable organization based in Yorkdale Mall, offers free arts programming for marginalized folks in the area. The organization hosts everything from children’s pottery workshops to art galleries, panel discussions and more.
