Both CUPE Ontario and the Labour Council are looking for eager candidates passionate about creating, leading and implementing campaigns to mobilize union members. If you’re looking for a contract position and have at least 5 years of community organizing under your belt, CUPE is looking for a temporary, full-time campaign manager. Evenings and weekends are required due to the role’s flexible schedule, and the position pays a weekly salary of $2,626.35. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on Sept. 19, so read the requirements of this role and application. For those looking for a full-time, permanent in-person position, the Labour Council is on the hunt for an organizer to work from its Don Mills office and throughout the city. Mapping employment
Help residents in the Jane and Finch area navigate the job market with its career navigator role. This full-time, contract role, paid $35.76 per hour, will be the primary point of contact between jobseekers and staff working in-person at the Jane/Finch Centre. The application deadline is Sep. 22.
Sustaining an art residency
For all the emerging arts workers looking to get involved in a burgeoning contemporary art institution, Site Toronto is hiring a residency coordinator. This part-time, contract gig will work 80 hours between November 2026 and February 2027 and pays $25/hour. If you have experience in arts administration, excellent organizing and communication skills and are interested in the workflow of residency operations, apply by Sep. 22.
Preserving Chinatown
If you love Chinatown and want to support a community-based land trust, then you might be a great fit for their open operations co-director role. This hybrid, contract role pays between $70,000 and $80,000, with a four-day workweek and in-person community events to attend, as needed. Applications close on Oct. 4.
