Visit Scadding Court Community Centre (707 Dundas St. W.) and Toronto Public Library Sanderson Branch (327 Bathurst St.) to recharge your soul and read The Green Line while your phone recharges (duh).
The two spots are connected despite the different addresses.

Who doesn’t love a good library moment?
Toronto Public Library Sanderson Branch’s main entrance is at 327 Bathurst St., next to Alexandra Park. The branch is open every day from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
The branch offers a variety of seating spots to work, quiet spaces to read and search up whatever you need.
There are extension cords on most work tables and attached to walls inside the library if you need to charge your phone. If you have a Toronto Public Library (TPL) card, you can use the computers to look something up if you don’t have access to a phone — or if you don’t have data, like me.

Scadding Court Community Centre

If you want a more lively environment while you get connected, head to Scadding Court Community Centre — located at 707 Dundas St. W.The centre is open every day, except Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. during the week and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
The multi-use space has plenty of resources and comfy seating areas to take advantage of.
The centre would be better if you’re looking for Wi-Fi rather than charging your phone, as there are significantly fewer outlets available compared to the library.
Inside, there are sofas, work tables and computer stations available for use.
The centre does have some rules, including:
- No sleeping or lying on furniture
- No leaving belongings unattended
- No swearing or disrespectful language
- No drinking or eating at the computers
- Be respectful to staff and other community members
- Do not remove your shoes or other clothing

They’re pretty strict about the rules so if you break one, you’ll be asked to leave.
