Looking for female-led walking groups in the city? Dust off your shoes and check out these groups to get your walk on.

Where are some safe, welcoming spots for a woman to hike in the city?

We’ve got some answers for you!

Our research started after Coco asked on The Green Line’s TikTok about trails in the city: Is it safe for a woman to hike around on her own?

If you’re looking to get your steps up and stay safe, join a female-led group. For those who want to walk around the city, try local cafés and go to the occasional pilates or yoga nights, join groups like the Toronto Girls Walking Club or the 444 Walk Club.

If you’re a GTA girly, then Steppin With Sara’s meetups are the perfect way to meet new friends, discover corners of the region outside of the core and snag a couple of freebies.

For the avid hikers out there, GTA Girls Hike Club is the group for you.

Looking for other women to enjoy hiking, kayaking and horseback riding with? Open Skies Adventures has all that, including regular walks planned.

If you’re over 45 or looking for walking groups to share with the older women in your life, then Sole Sister Ramblers, a peer-led walking and hiking group, is a great option.
