Do you have to get tenant insurance? And do you have to tell your landlord about it?
We received a version of these questions via email last month from Brian Simms, one of our community members who attended our January Action Journey event — and our engagement reporter Sahaana Ranganathan got us the answer.
Your rental agreement determines whether or not you have to get insurance, and whether or not your landlord can ask you for a proof of insurance.
We break down all the details in different possible scenarios in the video, below.
