Where TTC Line 1 meets Line 4 lies the bustling North York neighbourhood of Willowdale.

To some, Willowdale is simply where the subway system reaches its North York stations, but it's much more than just the end of the line.

Inside the overwhelming amount of multi-level apartments and sleek condos are the Torontonians who call this part of the city home. At first glance, Willowdale is unsuspecting, all shades of grey with minimal greenery; but upon closer inspection, a vibrant world comes to life through its people and colourful heart-shaped mosaics.

One resident told us that Willowdale is also fairly accessible, with convenience the priority in the neighbourhood. Pharmacies and grocery stores are all within walking distance from each another, and are conveniently located next to local subway stations.
